A CNA's primary duty is to assist with daily living skills. They can be found in nursing homes, hospitals, adult day care centers, assisted living facilities, even personal homes. CNA's work under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Americus Medical Academy offers Certified Nursing Assistant Prep courses that will assist students in taking the State of Florida Department of Nursing CNA certification examination. The exam consists of a written and practical portion.

CNA Prep Courses provides intensive training of specific patient care skills. We also prepare students for the 60 question (mulitple choice) state exam. All courses are conducted under strict supervision of an intructor who will make certain the skills are learned properly to state standards.

We offer courses in the Day and Evening to fit everyones schedule.We offer small class size so each student gets the attention and practice that they deserve. Our average size class is only 6-8 students and no more than 12.

This fee includes all materials and a book to help you pass your state test. Our course pass rate is at 98 percent

 To take advantage of this offer you must make a $50.00 deposit to hold your seat. We accept cash deposits as well by calling us to make payment arrangements.Your balance is due by the first day of class in CASH at the center.  We strive to allow each student the attention they deserve by keeping our class sizes small. (usually up to 10). No more than 12.

CLASS Balance: Student's paying by credit/debit must have the class paid prior to start of class. This can be done by calling (352) 341-7737. The day/night of your class we can ONLY Take CASH for any balance remainders at the Citrus County Location. Please plan accordingly. Call for more information or to make other arrangements.

CNA Test Prep Courses, for some students, may be a faster, more economical way of obtaining a CNA certificate. The end result is the same! All students will sit for the same exam.

Be On Time: To maintain a professional learning environment ,we request that student's come for class 10 minutes prior to start time. Student's arriving more than 5 minutes after classes start may not be able to attend the class unless prior arrangements have been made. Being late to class disturbs the learning environment for both student and instructor.

Student Responsibilities

Due to high demand of our programs we offer limited seating in all classes. Please reserve your seat as soon as possible. You can reserve your seat with as little as $50 (non- refundable deposit) leaving your balance due by the first day of class. Balance of class needs to be paid in cash at the center. Course dates are subject to change without notice. Please call prior to your scheduled course to ensure no course changes to dates and times have been made.
