Question:Do I need a GED Or Highschool Diploma to take the CNA course?
Answer:No, our prep course does not require you to have a GED or Highschool Diploma to attend. The State Of Florida does require a candidate to be at least 18 years of age or have a GED or Highschool Diploma to test.
Question:Does your class certify me a CNA?
Answer:No, only the State Of Florida testing program can certify a candidate. We prepare you using hands on instruction (step by step details of each and every skill. ) Upon completion of the CNA test prep course we will assist you to fill out the application to take the state test if you have not already applied. Testing can be done in any location in the State Of Florida.
Question:What do you use for Training materials?
Answer:We use anatomically correct nursing manikins, teaching stethoscopes ,hospital beds and professional training items to give each student the best training possible. Our classrooms are set up to simulate a hospital or nursing home setting. All training equipment and supplies for the skills are included in the CNA Prep Course. All you need is your desire to GET YOUR CNA , a pen and a highlighter. We provide the rest!
Question:Do you have FULL TIME office staff ready to help?
Answer:YES! Our Pinellas County location is open Monday - Friday from 9 am to 5pm and by appointment.Please stop in at : 5107 Central Avenue - Saint Petersburg, Florida 33710 or call (727) 768-3633. Our Citrus County location is available during any scheduled class and by appointment. Please call should you have any questions or require assistance. We are here to help!
Question:How do I hold my seat in the class?
Answer:You can make a seat reservation in person with cash, credit, debit or money order. Or you can call (727) 768-3633 in Pinellas or (352) 341-7737 in Citrus and use a debit or credit card. $50.00 holds your seat for whichever class you wish to attend. The deposit is a non- refundable/ non transferable fee. The balance is then due by the first day of class.
Question:What to bring to class.? What to wear?
Answer:Bring a notebook , pen and highlighter. You are EXPECTED to have your supplies and be on time. Our dress code is casual dress of which is appropriate for a classroom setting. Closed toe shoes (non slip).NO Uniforms required..
Question:How much are the State Fees to test? Who gets the money?
Answer:State Test fees are $158.50. This includes your testing fees and your FBI Level 2 Background Screening.We will assist you upon completion of the program to sign up for the CNA State Exam at the end of your course. Materials will be given to each student with directions on how to sign up for testing.
Question:Tell me more about the State CNA Test?
Answer:The written section of the test is 60 questions multiple choice. It is taken here on our computers. You will also take a hands on clinical skills test. This is of the 21 skills that you learn in class. Three skills will be chosen for you by random to perform in addition to hand washing and indirect care. You will have a total of five skills to perform. You will be given a time and date to come and test and this will be completed in one day. You will know if you pass the same day.
